Position
This role sits within the talent team and is part of a wider global people function. The talent team is responsible for JMAN’s hiring across its three locations (Chennai, London, and New York) to ensure we are consistently attracting, securing, and retaining the right talent, efficiently and effectively.
We are looking for an experienced recruiter to join our team in Chennai. You will partner closely with hiring managers and stakeholders to support them with the end-to-end recruitment process for IT/technical roles, at all levels. You may also get involved with roles outside of IT/technical, and globally as needed. As we look to continuously improve how we do things there will also be project/initiatives to get involved in.
This is both an advisory and execution role, ensuring all stakeholders and candidates receive a consistent, positive, and high standard of experience. It’s an exciting time to join JMAN and play an important role in the growth and success of the company.
- End-to-End Recruitment: Manage the entire recruitment lifecycle, including detailed intake meetings, preparation of job descriptions, job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, interview scheduling, feedback gathering, and negotiating, extending, and managing offers.
- Stakeholder collaboration: Partner closely with hiring managers/stakeholders to thoroughly understand business priorities, job requirements, define key selection criteria, advise and agree on the recruitment and sourcing process (within JMAN’s recruitment framework), and associated timelines. Provide regular updates on recruitment progress and ensure real-time alignment with requirements and changes. Resolve issues and challenges in a prompt and solutions orientated manner. Develop a wide internal network and continually strengthen JMAN business knowledge.
- Candidate Sourcing and Engagement: Develop and execute proactive direct sourcing strategies to attract top talent. Utilize various sourcing channels (E.g. job boards, social media, referrals, networking events, headhunting, advertising). Build and maintain a strong network and pipeline of critical IT/technical talent to ensure the business has readily accessible talent in the market.
- Screening and Assessment: Conduct preliminary screenings to assess technical skills and cultural fit so hiring manager/stakeholder time is spent meeting with the right people. Coordinate and schedule technical assessments and panel interviews.
- Process and Policies: Ensure compliance with labour laws, and JMAN’s processes and policies.
- Candidate Experience: Consistently ensure a seamless and positive experience for all candidates throughout the recruitment process. Ensure candidate communication is timely and thoughtful.
- Onboarding Support: Work with the people team, in scheduling and managing onboarding and post onboarding process to facilitate smooth onboarding for new hires.
Requirements
- 5-7 Years of Previous inhouse recruitment experience managing end-to-end IT/technical recruitment, in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of a wide range of IT/technical roles and skill sets.
- Passionate about recruitment and consistently delivering to high-standards and positive experiences.
- Genuine passion and ability to source directly, across platforms (E.g. LinkedIn, GitHub, Stack Overflow etc.), and finding new ways to source the right talent.
- Ability to effectively develop and maintain qualified talent pipelines.
- Familiar with working to recruitment related metrics/KPIs.
- Expertise in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), recruitment tools, and data.
- Knowledge of employment laws and recruitment best practices.
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) and a high standard of business English (written and verbal).
- Collaborative and proactive stakeholder engagement and management skills.
- Strong organizational skills, with an ability to effectively manage multiple vacancies at the same time, meet deadlines, prioritize, and maintain a high-level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a local and global team.
